Latin America - Video Editor

Details:

Our agency is currently seeking a Video Editor to join our creative team with our retainer client projects. We are looking for someone who has previous experience in either fashion, entertainment, tech, or the music industry. If you have more than one of these, that's even better! This role is more centered around creating assets for client needs on a consistent basis.

You’ll be led by a Creative Director on the team and there will be projects that you’ll work on alone and others where you’ll work on a creative team of content creators.

We're ultimately looking for someone who has a keen pulse on what's working, visually, and on the internet within these industries and has a passion for being innovative in their content creation. Being a team player, collaborative with others, fast in your creative process, and comfortable with change is key to success at AUSTERE.

Responsibilities:

• Speak English fluently
• Editing video content for TikToks, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, social media advertisements
• Virtually meet with our internal team for an occasional brainstorm.
• Communicate and receive feedback on Slack with our internal team.
• Work on social, email or advertising content needs to be requested by your Creative Director or Project Manager.
• Overall be a good team player where needed for your team and be timely with responding to your team on Slack when they tag you with questions.
• Be a wealth of knowledge regarding the industry's best practices for content.

Our Editor Requirements:

• Be available for Monday morning calls with our team
• Know how to use Slack for communication
• Be attentive, a fast communicator and proactive
• Be able to also mix in kinetic typography and motion graphics into your video editing
• High skill level and advanced proficiency with the editing tools like Premiere or Final Cut Pro

READ BEFORE YOU APPLY:

• Please do not apply if you only have long-form video editing/motion graphics. We are looking for content creators for social that do video editing primarily.
• We are not doing boring / basic work for traditional industries so please do not apply if you do not have any edgy or creative work in your portfolio to share.
• Do NOT apply if you do not have a portfolio LINK of video works for us to review.

How we work:

• Completely virtual
• Communication via Slack + email
• Meetings via Zoom
• Work on your own schedule but be flexible for a weekly Monday meeting, monthly brainstorming calls per project during CST work hours and slack convos during regular working hours.
